Privacy & security

Your data stays yours.

Your client list is your business. GigTools keeps it private to you: not shared with other users, not sold, and never used for anyone else's business.

Your clients are yours

No other GigTools user can see your contacts, clients, venues, gigs or fees. There's no shared contact pool and no search across accounts.

You choose what's shared

Nothing leaves your account unless you send it. Share your availability with an agency and they see that you're busy, not who it's for, where it is or what it pays.

Never sold, never used

We never sell your data, never contact your clients, and never use it for any booking business.

We only look when you ask

GigTools staff look at your account only when you ask for help, to keep GigTools secure and working, or when the law requires it.

You decide who on your team sees what

Give each teammate the role that fits. Assistants help with the day to day but never see fees, prices or payouts.

Take it with you

Export your contacts and clients to a spreadsheet any time, and ask us to delete your account whenever you like.

These promises are part of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, so they're commitments, not just marketing.

Questions

Straight answers about your data

Can other GigTools users see my clients?

No. Your contacts, clients, venues, gigs, fees and notes belong to your organization. The database itself keeps each organization's records apart, so another user can't read them, search them or link to them, even by accident.

What does an agency see if I share my availability?

Only which dates you're busy. They don't see the client, the venue, the fee or anything else about the gig. You can stop sharing any time.

Can GigTools staff see my data?

As with any online service, the people who run GigTools can technically reach the database to keep it running. So we've made it a written rule in our Privacy Policy and Terms: we look at your account only when you ask for help, to keep GigTools secure and working, or when the law requires it.

Will GigTools ever contact my clients?

No. Emails and texts go to your clients and acts only when you or your team send them, or from automatic reminders you turn on. We never contact them ourselves, and we never use your data for any booking business.

How is my data protected?

Everything is encrypted on the way to and from GigTools and while it's stored. The keys for services you connect, like Google, are encrypted too. Each organization's data is walled off in the database, not just hidden on screen, and team roles let you decide who on your team sees fees and payouts.

Can I get my data out, or delete it?

Yes. Export your contacts and clients to a spreadsheet from their lists any time. To close your account and delete your data, send us a message from the contact page.
